Abstract

Co-chairs, Members of the Security Council, Excellencies; this briefing on the transnational use of uncrewed aerial systems (otherwise known as drones) by terrorist groups comes at an important time in international security. Drones, once deemed to be a panacea for the protection of nations, are now among the greatest threats to state security.
