The polarization propagator based on an AGP state: Theory and application to the helium atom

Abstract

The AGP reference state is shown to support a high‐order consistent propagator approximation. An “improved” polarization propagator approximation is then available via the partitioning technique. An application to the two‐electron helium atom is given since in this case the AGP reference state is the exact ground state within a given basis set.
