Abstract

In the center of the investigation of this research is the emergence of entrepreneurial milieus and social capital within industry clusters. The motivation of the research initiative is to shed some light on the action patterns in innovation processes within multiple domain settings. This paper discusses a research design for an investigation of the German mechanical engineering industry with regards to these topics based on Padget and Powells´ (2012) multi-level network approach.
