N2 - We respond to the recent article “Prognostication of energy use and environmental impacts for recycle system of municipal solid waste management”, published in the Journal of Cleaner Production by Nabavi-Pelesaraei et al. (2017), (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2017.04.033). Our aim is to show that a number of incorrect assumptions and methodologies employed in the analysis led to invalid results and conclusions.
