Abstract

Resonant converters which have high power density are highly sensitive to tank circuit tuning. The Class E converter prototype developed in this work shows the detrimental effects that arise with stray components during load connection and thus proposes a test circuit which minimizes its effect on the tank circuit tuning. The experimental results obtained validate the effectiveness of the proposed solution showing an improvement in the converter efficiency.
