Abstract
Physical education is often given a special role in terms of inclusion and cooperation across reception and general classes. In the article, we look more closely at the expectation that language and cultural barriers can be reduced through ball games and other physical activities, and we point to options for giving newly arrived children access to the school communities through sports and physical activities.
