Abstract
Digital Twin recently became one of the key enablers of Smart Manufacturing. Although several architectures are currently available to support digital twin design, implementation, use, and assessment, most of such procedures are not adapted to the reality of small and medium enterprises. In this chapter, we provide a solid foundation to support SMEs toward adopting digital twins while exemplifying the implementation procedure with two use cases in manufacturing industries.
