Abstract

The cup-capacitor has flat conductors forming an anode and/or a cathode and separated from each other by a dielectric medium. Terminal lugs (14, 16) are connected with the conductors. The anode, cathode and the dielectric medium are incorporated in a cup (18). The cup is received in a pressure-tight cup (20) whose volume is double of volume of the cup. A gas binding material (22) e.g. titanium foam, is arranged in a space formed between the cups.
