Abstract
The authors regret that it has come to the attention that not all relevant parties were appropriately acknowledged in the original version of the MRSA guidelines published in the Journal of Hospital Infection in October 2021. The following changes should be made to address these omissions: Who developed these guidelines? This section should read as follows: The Working Party included infectious diseases/microbiology clinicians, IPC experts, systematic reviewers, and two lay member representatives. Updating the national guidelines relating to MRSA was a joint initiative of BSAC, BIA, HIS and IPS. HIS and IPS alone were involved in the production of this guideline. BSAC and BIA were responsible for updating recommendations for the treatment of MRSA, which are available in a separate guideline (link to) https://academic.oup.com/jacamr/article/3/1/dlaa114/6127118?guestAccessKey=20cf089c-ce33-4e54-bb62-b2131c25a137&login=false Source of funding This section should read as follows: All Societies (BIA, BSAC, HIS, IPS) contributed equally to the initial cost of designing PICO questions and search strategies. Other costs specific for the IPC guidelines, e.g., the researchers' time and other resources required to conduct evidence syntheses, as well as the cost of publication were funded by HIS. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
