Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows:To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of different biomarker‐based protocols to guide the initiation or discontinuation of antibiotics in the treatment of acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
