Abstract
This roadmap outlines what needs to be in place to realise the ambitious projects of building offshore energy hubs (OHs), that, while feasible, are often likened to a ”Mars mission for the energy system” due to their scale and complexity. These hubs are crucial for integrating large amounts of offshore wind energy into the power grid, supporting climate goals, and enhancing energy stability and security.
