We have synthesized the first example of an asymmetric tetraTTF-calixpyrrole. This system features Ouroborand qualities due to selfcomplexation with the pyridine substituent. This forces the usually highly flexible calixpyrrole into a preorganized conformation with improved explosive detection ability.
