Abstract

A Cultural History of Work is a multi-volume project on the history of work in the western world from Antiquity to the 21st century. The series will consist of six illustrated volumes, each devoted to an examination of work in one of six historical periods (Antiquity, The Medieval Age, The Early Modern Age, The Enlightenment, The Age of Empire, and The Modern Age).
