Abstract
I emphasize a key difference between Korzybski’s levels of abstractions and Maturana’s notion of languaging, which challenges Druzhinin and Rakedzon' point that the two are straightforwardly compatible. Moreover, I show how this challenge points to a shortcoming in Korzybski’s hierarchy of abstractions.
