Project Details
Description
The project aims to develop curricular and co-curricular activities that bridge the entrepreneurial educational environment within the field of sports science and the sports industry, through a partnership between universities and the Danish sports sector.
The approach is to closely connect teaching and project activities as part of the educational programs and link to activities taking place at local incubation environments. It is to further reach out to the Danish, Nordic and global sports industry-specific start-up ecosystems by developing curricular outreach activities and co-curricular development work within the sports industry. This approach is anchored into the existing educational programs at the partner universities. Outreach activities are closely linked to course activities and course development at some of the partner universities: KU master course and SDU establishing a new innovation-focused master track “Movement in society”. Aalborg University will further develop an outreach philosophy and outreach activities as part of its sports technology program. These educational activities and bridging efforts will help students to visualise a possible entrepreneurial professional path in sports innovation and boost their entrepreneurship ambitions.
The vision is for students to visualise and connect to the growth of a robust and open-minded Danish sports industry ecosystem, with a global mindset, in which the university-based start-ups will strengthen their business approach, based on networking, and knowledge sharing in a culture of collaboration.
