Ultra fast super-resolution imaging in 3 D for Visualizing transport of Nano particles and Membrane Nano-domains

Project: Private Foundations

Project Details

Description

New land winnings in microscopy introducing super-resolution techniques makes it possible to visualize how proteins and lipids interacts in the mammalian plasma membrane. Recent evidence for membrane lipids organizing in nano-domains suggest they have a regulatory role. The project aims to develop new techniques and analysis methods to image position, interaction and transport over the membrane by lipids and proteins. The grant funds 1 PhD student, 2 postdocs and equipment.
