Involvement of protein aggregation in Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease
has long been documented but the mechanisms causing pathology is remain still
unknown. In the proposed study, aggregate stages of alpha-synuclein and tau will
be investigated using proteomics to identify interacting proteins involved in their
clearance. Importantly, a great part of the project will be centered on validations in
models to address therapeutic potential of the identified regulators
