The Philosophy and Practice of Improvisation

Project: Other

Project Details

Description

Explorative workshops on the phenomenon of improvisation. Three international workshops were held at Copenhagen University, Helsinki University and Lund University. With selected themes (artistic improvisation, pathologies and improvisation, and joint improvisation in political related organisations) the workshops aimed at bringing philosophers and practitioners together to discuss and exchange insights on improvisation.

The workshops were supported by 'The Joint Committee for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences' (NOS-HS)

Key findings

The workshops formed the background for planning and editing a anthology/special volume on the philosophy of improvisation. The volume will be published in the first half of 2021.
