Description
The Terra Salva project will develop a land mine detection system based on terahertz (THz) light as THz systems can detect the explosives. An adjusted version of the system and associated data processing will be developed in the laboratory and drone mounting strategies will be analysed to allow for explosive detection in the ground. Scan speed, resolution and battery time will be considered in the optimization. Finally, the THz system will be mounted on a drone and tested on outdoors.
The project is carried out by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in collaboration with SDU Robotics, SDU UAS, CurHumBra Consulting ApS and Adamant Surface Technology.
