Project Details
Description
By 2050, augmented reality will completely transform how we communicate globally. Overseas calls will no longer be limited to sight and sound but will engage all five senses. However, in 2024, transmitting scents through technology was only demonstrated with a minimal scent library. That's where the TeleScent project comes in - it aims to open the doors for transmission and reception of a wide range of scents by breaking barriers on scent modularization. TeleScent will demonstrate how various scents can be transmitted across two devices, making it the first of its kind. This breakthrough technology will herald a new research field in telecommunication technologies.
