Description
Taking a multidisciplinary and cross-sector approach, Blesystem2030 pairs technical innovation and circular system demonstration with a deep understanding of care practice, as well as socio-cultural barriers to adoption. The overall project goal is creating the foundations for holistic system change towards a sustainable diaper system in 2030 in Den-mark. The project is organized in 6 work packages (WPs), with interlinked objectives:
1. Demonstration in operational environment of hybrid diapers, including version with and without digital (sensor) components, addressing medium and heavy incontinence care.
2. Tests of full circular system, including logistics, workflows, and care practice. This includes wash-re-turn of multi-use diaper chassis, and options for recycling and treatment of inserts.
3. Exploration and design of socio-technical framework for societal adoption of the new system.
4. Validation by environmental and economic assessment of full system adoption scenarios.
5. Communication and dissemination of guides for care practice, public procurement, and a roadmap for system adoption to 2030.
