Project Details
Description
The major objective is to identify metabolically regulated genes in the non-hepatocyte cell population of the liver at single cell resolution and subsequently identify gene regulatory mechanisms in a specific non-hepatocyte subpopulation. The project will specifically focus on feeding regulated gene expression and use a genetic approach to enrich for non-hepatocyte nuclei combined with state-of-the-art single nuclei gene expression analysis. This will provide novel genome-wide insights to the uncharacterized regulatory genome of non-hepatocytes during a feeding response and thus provide a deeper understanding of metabolic regulation by the liver.
