Description
The International Liposome Society (ILS) 2011 MEETING “LIPOSOME ADVANCES:PROGRESS IN DRUG AND VACCINE DELIVERY” is one of the a few occasions thatgather many experts in using liposomes for drug delivery, some of which I have never hadthe chance to meet before. The participants will present their research and solutions for themany challenging hurdles in this field. I am particularly interested in the up-to-date developments of siRNA delivery vehicles, since many experts in this research area, like Pieter Cullis, Terry Allen, and Vladimir Torchilin, will be present at the conference. December 11th is particularly dedicated to nucleic acid therapeutics. In addition, I would like to present our approach and results in a poster and discuss the challenges that we face in our project, particularly enhancing the encapsulation of siRNA particles and the importance of active targeting. I am confident that this conference will be a good opportunity to help us direct and develop our strategy and research.
