This present project investigates the presence of antimicrobial compounds from the root of the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa) demonstrated by the ability to inhibit the growth of selected microorganisms and primarily methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Aurora Nordic delivers a juice from the root and Minimal Inhibitory Concentrations (MIC) are made according to recognized standards. The experiments are carried out by Academic employee Tina Kronborg, SDU in the period 1/4 2019 to 31/7 2019. Data is analysed by Associate professor Jane K. Klitgaard, SDU and reported to Aurora Nordic.
