Description
The purpose of this study is to investigate the safety and efficacy of oral antibiotic administration compared to intravenous antibiotic administration in patients referred to the emergency department with suspected or diagnosed bacterial lower respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection and cellulitis.
The specific aims of the study are:
To investigate the a) safety and b) efficacy of oral antibiotic treatment of the tree main bacterial infections at the emergency department compared with the current standard treatment consisting of primarily intravenous antibiotics.
