Project Details
Description
Goal: 1.Development of economically and ecologically sustainable processes
to harvest or acquire brown algae from the Baltic Sea.
2.Production and characterization of biologically active and medically
important fucoidans from brown seaweeds.
3.Testing of the fucoidans in the fields of ophthalmology (age-related
macular degeneration), regenerative medicine (tissue engineering)
and cosmetics for their sustainability.
4.Database development
5.Generation of German-Danish value chain
