Description
The Department of Border Region Studies (IFG) at SDU is internationallyacknowledged in the field of border region research. IFG employs more than 20 senior researchers from 14 different countries conducting research on Europe’s border regions. The research, which is documented in IFG’s numerous publications, examines a diversity of topics including border conflicts and war heritage, which are the central themes in the RENEW project. IFG is internationally well-connected drawing on a field-tested research infrastructure. It hosts, on a regular basis, big international conferences such as the up-coming BRIT conference taking place November 2016, workshops, guest lecturers, etc. IFG also participates in and leads international projects, like the ESF project Signs of European Time.
