Building Stronger Universities 3

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Building Stronger Universities 3 (BSU 3)

BSU 3 aims at further strengthening Gulu University in Northern Uganda. BSU 3 is a continuation of a Danida-funded project, consisting of six collaborations projects between African universities and consortia of Danish universities, including SDU.

The overall aim of BSU phase 3 is that the partnering African universities have enhanced their role as providers of scientific knowledge and research-based education and advice to society. Building on the lessons learned from BSU 2, part 3 of the programme consolidates results and focuses on fewer thematic science areas, and is thoroughly adapted to local contexts, needs and priorities identified by the Southern partners. The programme adds emphasis on the capacity of the Southern universities to perform outreach, engage with a variety of stakeholders and encourage uptake of research results relevant to growth and development.
