Research areas

She is the research lead of SDU strategic research areas of digital twins for industrial processes, value chains, and business ecosystems. Her main research application domains are the energy related ecosystem (smart grid, district heating systems, sector coupling, and demand sides), especially focuses on the synergy among energy resilience, sustainability, affordability, and intelligence.

She develops the ecosystem mapping method, the CSTEP* multi-dimensional, multi-criteria evaluation and forecasting method for business ecosystem impact analysis and long-term prediction, and the energy metaverse architecture. The developed methods have been applied and contributed to many research projects.

Her research also combines multiple methods (big data analytics, agent-based simulation, discrete event simulation, machine learning models, scientific qualitative and quantitative methods) to facilitate stakeholders to investigate future & what-if scenarios, test and evaluate design, technologies, solutions and business models in targeted ecosystems.

* CSTEP represents for: Climate, environment and geographic situation, Social culture, demographic environment, Technology (Infrastructure environment, technological skills, relevant technology readiness), Economy and finance, Policies and regulation
