Research Interests
Victor Martin-Sanchez is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Business and Management at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU).
Before joining SDU, Victor was an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at King's Business School - King's College London (UK). He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) and was a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA).
His research focuses on the intersection of entrepreneurship, internationalization, and strategy, with particular emphasis on international comparative entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial growth aspirations, strategic human capital, and the individual and institutional drivers of entrepreneurial action. Victor explores how the interaction between entrepreneurs—specifically their human capital and socio-cognitive traits—and the institutional environment shapes entrepreneurial outcomes such as growth, innovation, and internationalization.
Victor's research has been published in leading academic journals such as Organization Science, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Small Business Economics, and Journal of Banking & Finance.
