Research areas

My research is motivated by a genuine interest in improving the knowledge base for priority setting in health care. My major interests focus on issues within behavioural health economics and welfare economics using survey data and experiments (linked with register data). Topics include:

  • Measuring of social preferences for equitable distribution of health care
  • Valuation of health and health risks
  • Determinants of individual health and well-being
  • Patient barriers to management and treatment of chronic disease
