Research areas

My research focuses on the organisation and performance of the health care sector with a particular interest in the design and effects of incentives for the quality of care. My research takes point of departure in the economic theory of incentives and often involves the microeconometric analysis of large administrative data sets. Current interests include pay and penalties for performance, models of integrated care, and the impact of clinical guidelines.
