With a successful international career in the insurance sector spanning over a decade, Dr. Simon Sølvsten established the European Center for Risk & Resilience Studies at the University of Southern Denmark in 2023, driven by a clear mission to "Empower Actions to Shape Tomorrow's Resilience" for organizations and individuals.

Simon has achieved a range of academic accomplishments, including a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark, an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and several certifications, such as Certified Security Manager®, CFPA, electrician, and Certified Security installer.
