Research areas

My field of research is teaching and learning in higher education. In that field, I have through the years been occupied with many sub-areas like choice of education, drop-out and professionalisation of the university teacher.

For now, I'm especially interested in physical learning spaces and how our learning spaces play a role for the way teachers at university plan and conduct teaching.

  • PhD in science education (2003) from the University of Southern Denmark. The title of my thesis is “Kemi og kompetencer…” (Chemistry and competencies – worth a try? An investigation of the conditions for and possibilities in laboratory teaching)
