1978: Master of Science in Business Economics and auditing (Cand. Merc. i revision) from Handelshøjskolen i Århus (now: Aarhus University).

Work in DK:
1977 - 1981: Auditor at chartered accountant companies.
1981 - 1983: Controller at Scandia, Randers. Bigger company in the iron industry.
1983 - 1988: Lecturer at The Higher Commercial School in Grindsted and Eksternal lecturer at Southern Denmark Business School.
From 1988: Associate professor at Southern Denmark Business School (now: University of Southern Denmark)

Management accounting, Financial accounting and Financial Statement Analysis.
