Personal profile

Research areas

I am member and head of the research program Cultures and Affects of Science in Humanities (CASH) and a member of the reserach network Forskergruppe i Affekt.

I am working and researching within the externally funded projects Ice Age: Entangled Lives, Times, and Ethics in Fertility Preservation and Medicine Man. Media assemblages of medicalized masculinity as well as within the new project The Legacy of AIDS in Denmark.

I am board member of KVINFO and LGBT ASYLUM.

Research interests

I am researching and teaching within cultural studies, and I am interested in the intersections among sexuality, gender, race, national belonging and other markers of difference. I worked extensively with homosexual culture and history, reproductive technologies (especially on transnational surrogati) and new cultures of intimacy within and beyond digital media.

I am invested in new materialist and affect theoretical developments of post structuralisms, which is reflected in my interest in the empirical meetings between human agents and technologies (in a broad sense, e.g. reproductive, media and power technologies). Theoretically, I am embedded with queer theories, feminist theories, critical race theories, post and neocolonial theories.
