Navid Bayati received the Ph.D degree from Aalborg University in 2020 in Power Systems & Microgrid Protection. In 2019, he has been involved in research with Loughborough University, UK at CREST. Then, he was involved as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense campus. since March 2021, on the protection of Microgrids by dSPACE and OPAL-RT. He started his Assistant Professorship at 2022 on power system protection at University of Southern Denmark. He is currently an Associate Professor and Leader of Control and Protection of SmartGrids (CAP-SG) at SDU Sønderborg.

- Protection and Transient Analysis of Power Grids

- Microgrids and Active Energy Networks 

- Grid Codes

- Grid Interconnection of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Storage Systems
