Personal profile

Research areas

As an Associate Professor in the Department of Green Technology and the lead of the Biomass Lab, I am passionate about bridging classical chemical engineering with cutting-edge industrial biotechnology. My research focuses on unlocking the potential of biomass as a renewable resource, creating sustainable pathways to fuels, chemicals, and materials.

I explore both chemical and biological conversion processes, with a unique emphasis on integrating renewable energy sources like Power-to-X technology into biorefineries. By coupling biomass valorization with surplus renewable power, I aim to drive the transformation of waste into valuable products while addressing energy and resource challenges.
