Research areas

I am a PhD fellow in a collaboration between the University of Southern Denmark and VIA University College funded by the PhD Council for Educational Research. The working title of the project is ‘Danish as a second language between school subject, (in)equality and democracy’, where I through a norm-critical and post-migrant perspective examine, what (im)possibilities the DSA subject (Danish as a second language) in the Danish primary school offers to fulfill the democratic promise of greater equality for multilingual students.

Overall, I research within the fields of didactics and pedagogy in educational contexts, and I am particularly interested in migration, multilingualism and power relations. Methodologically, I mainly work with qualitative methods, especially ethnographic fieldwork, participant observation, interviews and document analysis.
