Personal profile

Research Interests

  • Biomarkers of pregnancy syndromes and complications
  • Clinical proteomics and biochemistry
  • Targeted protein mass spectrometry

The overall goal of my research is to develop better assays and  biomarkers for disease diagnostics and screening in close collaboration with clinical experts and partners in industry. We use MS-based targeted proteomics and immunoassays for clinical studies and for implementation in clinical routine .
In particular my work focuses on biomarkers in pregnancy including early biomarkers of gestational diabetes mellitus and other severe complications of pregnancy such as preeclampsia.
