Personal profile

Research areas

I conduct research in how environmental communication affects citizens, which psychological barriers communicators needs to overcome, and how we can develop the toolbox of journalists and communicators to improve how they convey information. I am particularly interested in understanding people's neuropsychological and cognitive processes when exposed to environmental- and risk communication.

I have a background as a journalist before I shifted to media research and have since collaborated with DR, Nordisk Film, TV2, Jysk Fynske Medier about research projects with psychophysiological measurements.

Since then, I started as a PhD student at the Center for Journalism on the project PERCORISK, primarily funded by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to understand Danes' information sources and perception of pesticides and biocides, and develop communication strategies based on this knowledge.
