Personal profile

Research areas

My research spans two principal domains. The first focuses on social epidemiology related to early-life weight development, encompassing infancy, childhood, and adolescence. My research in this area builds on intervention research aimed at translating evidence on determinants of early-life weight development into effective and feasible interventions. Further, my involvement in this area builds on extensive national and international health profile data.

The second core domain of my research centers on the social epidemiology of child and adolescent health, addressing a broad range of health indicators, health behaviors, and measures of well-being and mental health, across the settings of family, school and peers. The empirical base involves extensive national and international child and adolescent health profiles collected repeatedly over several decades.
