Research Interests

Main research fields are epidemiology and register-based research in combination with data from cohort studies. Main effort lies in osteoporosis, fracture epidemiology, -screening, and –prevention. I have integrated information from national registers into understanding in more detail how fractures can be predicted and prevented.

Moreover, working with developing of automatic data driven predictive models and algorithms for early detection of individuals at risk of osteoporosis using Danish health registries.

Furthermore, experience in studying other endocrine diseases such as PCOS, cancer, diabetes. Extensive experience in the use of the National Patient Register, the Danish National Prescription Registry and the demographic databases at Statistics Denmark according to validity and usability for research.
