Research Interests

Karen Hvidtfeldt is a professor at the Department of Culture and Language at the University of Southern Denmark. Her research concerns cultural understandings of health and illness, reproduction, gender, and age as embodied, social, and affective aspects of audio-visual, digital and social media as well as in literature, television, and film. She also works with cultural politics as well as cultural communication in museums and other public institutions.
