Research areas

I am an engineer-systems analyst by education, holding a PhD degree, with a wealth of experience in analysing safety-critical systems for their reliability, safety, resilience and security. I have been developing methods and analysis tools in the field and applying them to many different domains: nuclear power engineering, wind energy, oil and gas production and transportation, railway systems, maritime transport, autonomous vehicles, medical devices, cyber-physical and critical infrastructure systems as a whole. 

Starting from 2021 my activities solely focus on the maritime sector.
