Personal profile

Research areas

My research interests lie at the intersection of strategy and organization design. Particularly, I study behavioral micro-foundations of how organizational design influences individual learning and decision-making. I mainly approach this, using behavioral experiments.

I received a PhD in Management from the University of Hamburg in 2019. During my PhD, I spent a few months visiting Gaël Le Mens at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2019 and Stephan Billinger at the University of Southern Denmark in 2017. Prior to starting my PhD, I accomplished a master’s degree in Strategy and Organization at SDU in 2015.

Here, at SDU I work with Oliver Baumann in a project on "Controlling Innovation in Complex Organizations". I am a member of the Strategic Organization Design Unit http://www.sod-research.com/people

Main papers I currently work on:

Incentives, Attention and Search with Stephan Billinger (SDU),  2nd Revise & Resubmit, Experiment with Eye Tracking

Peer Performance Feedback and Exploration-Exploitation with Oliver Baumann (SDU) and Daniel Newark (HEC Paris), Experiment

Categories, Generalization and Exploration with Thomas Woiczyk (Pompeu Fabra) and Gaël Le Mens (Pompeu Fabra), Model and Experiment

Organizational Structure and Learning with Oliver Baumann (SDU) and Thorsten Wahle (U. of Manchester), Experiment
