Research areas

Fenella Billing's research is primarily centered around international and transnational law enforcement and human rights. This includes maritime security issues, such as irregular migration and cyber security, and areas relating to human rights in cross-border cooperation, such as 'mutual trust' in partner states. As part of the PolSEA (Policing at Sea) research group, Fenella's research explores search and rescue of refugees and migrants under the law of the sea and human rights.
