Erik Poulsen’s (EP) research mainly focuses on clinical aspects of hip related disorders pertaining to diagnosis, management, quality assurance and evidence synthesis.

Current research projects:

EP is the primary investigator of quality assurance of the Danish hip arthroscopy registry (DHAR).

EP is participating in a systematic review examining differences between surgical and non-surgical interventions for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

EP is consultant on the project: TILT-FAI: The relationship between anterior pelvic tilt and functional acetabular retroversion in patients with symptomatic anterior femoroacetabular impingement.

EP is part senior investigator on a project examining pain distribution and symptoms of fatigue in patients with hip dysplasia.

Clinical work

Erik Poulsen works part-time in a clinical setting diagnosing, consulting and managing patients with hip related disorders.
