Personal profile
Research areas
My research is primarily centered on graphic design, and my specific object of study over the past several years has been the corporate logo. My interests come to full frutition in these years, as I am working as an Industrial Ph.d.-student at Danfoss A/S on a project called "Capturing Wisps of Smoke - a semiotic approach to Intellectual Property". The project seeks new ways to describe graphic trademarks in order to make assessments of likelihood of confusion between two marks more comparable, measurable and intersubjectively transparent.
My approach to graphic design is through social semiotics and cognitive semiotics. Presently, I am preoccupied with the role played by our bodies in the making of meaning i graphic texts.
