Organic, Organometallic and Inorganic Synthesis and Biocoordination Chemistry.  Models for the active sites of metalloenzymes and new homogenous catalysts. Artificial photosynthesis. Molecule and anion sensors.

Research information

Biocoordination, supramolecular and nanochemistry. This includes the synthesis of new ligands, the controlled self-assembly of molecular oxo and hydroxo-bridged metal clusters and multimetal-templated macrocycles. Functional models for non-heme metalloenzymes. “Biomimetic” recognition, and activation of substrates, in particular water, dioxygen and esters for applications in the homogenous catalysis of energy conversion processes and green chemistry.
